An intensive winter break on water and SUP, packed into four active and adventurous days. Winter is beautiful from a sup perspective. No crowds, just tranquillity and amazing scenery all around. And if you like winter adventure, this is the season that offers many opportunities for activities such as skiing or snowboarding, off-piste skiing, snowshoeing, alpine climbing, hiking, ice climbing … So, no need for trading between a holiday on snow and a holiday on water. You just trade a morning snow board for a sup board in the afternoon. Or your hotel bed for a night in an igloo. Or maybe a warm shower for a swim in an ice-cold lake. It is up to you.
Paddling time per day: 2-3 hours / with extra time upon demand

Day 2: Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj & The Savica River

Winter paddling conditions in Slovenia
Stand up paddling in winter season is not an exotic thing at all in Slovenia. On a nice winter day you can spot many paddlers on lakes, rivers and on the sea as well. Of course warm winter clothing and footwear is a must and a thermos with hot tea in your backpack is advised. The average temperatures you can expect in late December range from 10º C (50 F) to -5º C (23 F), however the temperatures on our tour will vary from spot to spot due to different local climates. Here is some statistics to give you an idea.
– Ljubljana – continental climate; avg. max: 4º C (39 F), avg. min -2º C (28 F)
– Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj – Alpine climate; avg. max: 0º C (32 F), avg. min -4º C (25 F)
– Piran coast – sub-Mediteranean climate; avg. max: 8º C (46 F), avg. min 4º C (39 F)
