General
The tour is owned and operated by Sup Slovenia Association, located at Vogelna Ulica 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia – (known as Sup Slovenia Discovery for the purposes of these Terms & Conditions). By signing the booking form, you agree to the following terms and conditions between Sup Slovenia Discovery and yourself (participant).
Reservations & Payments
In order to participate in any of the tours organized by Sup Slovenia Discovery, participants must sign a booking form. A reservation is made when the participant submits a signed booking form and a reservation deposit.
Payment in full is required 60 days before the start of the tour. Each participant is required to sign a release form and a rights waiver form before the start of the tour. Sup Slovenia Discovery cannot accept a participant without a signed release and waiver form.
To secure a place on the regular tour, a deposit of 25 – 50 % (depending on the tour) per person is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days before the tour starts. If the total balance is not received 60 days before the start of the tour, Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
Services
Sup Slovenia Discovery is responsible for providing the services listed in the tour descriptions according to local standards. However, due to situations beyond its control (such as weather, extremely high or low waters, road work, and hotel closures …), Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right, without prior notice, to withdraw any or all parts of a tour or to make such changes as may be necessary including extra costs, if applicable, which shall be paid by the customer.
Sup Slovenia Discovery agents, representatives, and guides represent us, but are not a party to this contract, and are not responsible or liable for any failure to provide any service as may be described on our website or pertaining to the contract.
Safety
A participant must follow the safety instructions and recommendations of a Sup Slovenia Discovery guide at all times. If a participant repeatedly fails to do so, Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to revoke this contract and remove the participant’s rental stand-up paddling equipment for the remainder of the tour with no monetary refund. The Owners, Operators, and Agents of this tour including Sup Slovenia Discovery, are not the guardians of the participant’s safety and they cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with any activity in connection with the tour which might result in injury, death or other damage to the participant, his property, his/heirs family or third parties. The liability of SUP Slovenia Discovery is limited to a total of three times the tour price, irrespective of the title/claim.
SUP Equipment
Sup Slovenia Discovery provides stand-up paddle equipment as part of the tour package. The pictures and descriptions of the stand-up paddle boards and paddles on this website do not always represent the exact version of the boards provided. Please email us if you have any special preferences. Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to substitute stand-up paddling equipment confirmed to a participant, but will make every effort to contact the participant before any substitution. However, certain uncontrollable situations (such as damage or theft) may require substitution.
A security deposit of 400 Euros must be paid to Sup Slovenia Discovery at the beginning of the stand-up paddle equipment rental period. The deposit will be held until the undamaged stand-up paddleboard and paddle are returned in acceptable condition. The deposit will be refunded at that time. If you intend to bring your own stand-up paddle equipment, please let us know in advance.
Cancellation
A participant can cancel the reservation without any explanation 14 days after the payment of the reservation fee and get a full refund.
We realize that in some instances, cancellations are due to circumstances beyond your control. If you do cancel but are able to make another trip at a later date, we will do our best to offer you a discount on another tour.
If a participant cancels a tour following the booking confirmation, Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to withhold a part of the deposit to cover the costs incurred.

No exception to this policy can be made for any reason.
Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices (both before and after your confirmation has been issued).
In the case where Sup Slovenia Discovery must cancel the tour due to lack of participation, the participant will be notified as soon as possible. Sup Slovenia Discovery will offer to conduct the tour if all participants agree to a supplemental charge due to the low number of tour members. If participants do not agree to pay the supplement, Sup Slovenia Discovery will refund their deposit and payments in full, which will constitute the full settlement. Sup Slovenia Discovery is not liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the participant due to the cancellation of the tour due to a lack of participants. This includes, but is not limited to, the cost of prepaid airline tickets, hotel reservations, and automobile rentals. Situations beyond our control may arise that make it necessary for us to reschedule or cancel a tour, change itineraries, or make substitutions regarding paddling sites, hotels, cities, guides, and other travel arrangements. We do not assume responsibility or liability for any resulting losses, expenses, or inconvenience to the participant. Sup Slovenia Discovery is not required to make refunds once the tour commences, regardless of the reason for the participant’s inability to complete his tour.
A withdrawal of the travel organizer from the contract on package travel
A travel organizer can withdraw from the contract on package travel and refund all the payments to the consumer, without covering the damage made to the consumer, only if:
- The organizer of the travel, due to inevitable or extraordinary circumstances, can not fulfill the contract of package travel and informs the consumer about the withdrawal before the start of the tourist package without unnecessary delay, or if
- The minimum number of participants, defined in a contract on package travel, has not been reached, and the organizer of the travel informs the consumer about the withdrawal from the contract within the time specified in the contract, but not later than:
- 20 days before the start of the tourist package for travels longer than 6 days;
- 7 days before the start of the tourist package for travels of duration from 2 to 6 days;
- 48 hours before the start of the tourist package for travels shorter than 2 days.
With the exception of the price, the travel organizer can not unilaterally change its contract conditions, except if:
- The travel organizer reserved the right to do so under the contract.
- The change is insignificant, and
- The travel organizer informs the consumer in a clear, easy-to-understand, and visible way on durable media.
If the travel organizer before the start of the travel package realizes that he is forced to significantly modify one of the main features of the travel services, that he cannot meet the special needs of the customer, or suggests a price rise of more than eight percent, the consumer can within the period of 14 days accept the suggested change or cancel the contract without having to pay the cancellation payment. If the consumer does not respond within the time frame stated, it is considered that the consumer is withdrawing from the contract.
If the consumer in the cases listed in the previous paragraph cancels the contract on package travel, he can accept the alternative package, that possibly equals or exceeds the original quality, if the travel organizer offers one. If the consumer cancels the contract and does not accept the alternative tourism package, the travel organizer refunds all the payments without unnecessary delays, and the latest in 14 days from cancellation. The provisions of the 57.e and b57.f articles of ZVPot apply mutatis mutandis.
The travel organizer informs the consumer in a clear, understandable, and visible way on a durable medium about the:
- suggested changes and, when suitable, their effect on a tourism package price;
- a reasonable period of time, within which the consumer can inform the travel organizer about their decision; and the consequences that apply if the consumer does not reply within the stated time frame;
- alternative tourism package offered and its price, when suitable.
If the consumer accepts the suggested change or accepts the alternative tourism package, he is entitled to the appropriate price drop if the consequences of the change include a lower quality or lower costs of the tourism package.
Financial Insolvency Liability
Our insurance covers scenarios where the Policyholder is unable, due to its bankruptcy, to:
a) refund the prepaid deposit to the entitled persons or the price of the tour, in the event that no tour has taken place;
b) return, to entitled persons, the difference between the amount paid for a tour and the price of the part of the tour actually provided, in the event that only a part of the tour has taken place.
Complaint Handling
The travel organizer is responsible for fulfilling the contract on package travel, regardless of whether the travel services are performed by himself or a third party.
The consumer, without unnecessary delay, all circumstances considered, informs the travel organizer of all non-conformities identified during the course of the travel services included in the contract on package travel.
If a single travel service is not carried out in accordance with the contract on package travel, the travel organizer corrects the non-conformity, except if:
- this is not possible or
- this would cause disproportionate costs, taking into consideration the extent of non-compliance and the value of the travel services, non-compliant with the contract.
If the travel organizer doesn’t correct the non-conformities within the reasonable time frame set by the consumer, the consumer can, except in the cases defined in the previous paragraph, correct the non-conformities by himself and demand a refund of the costs incurred. The consumer doesn’t have to set a reasonable time frame for correcting the non-conformities if the nature of the non-conformity demands an immediate correction or if the travel organizer doesn’t want to correct the non-conformity.
If the non-conformities haven’t been corrected during the travel, the consumer is entitled to a proportional reduction of price due to incomplete or lower-quality services, after the end of the travel. If the amount or the quality of services provided deviates significantly from the amount or the quality of services stated in the contract on package travel, the consumer is entitled to a full refund. In both cases, the consumer has to file a written complaint to a travel organizer not later than two months after the end of the travel. The customer’s demand for a price decrease or a refund of the amount paid does not affect the consumer’s right to demand compensation for damage suffered.
The travel organizer or seller or local representative of the travel organizer, if such exists, must provide immediate help to a consumer who finds himself in trouble due to unpredictable mistakes, not connected to providing the services agreed in the contract and have been caused by the third parties or are a consequence of a higher force or event, which, despite the utmost care, was not possible to prevent.
The amount of the financial compensation for the caused damage due to the non-conformity with the contract is limited to three times the price of a tourism package, except for the compensation for the physical damage and the damage caused intentionally or negligently. The consumer can demand a price decrease or damage compensation due to the non-conformity with the contract on package travel within two years from the date of non-conformity.
Complaint procedure
DIRECTIONS ON A COMPLAINT SUBMITTING PROCEDURE
In case of non-compliant or lower-quality services from the contact, an agreement has been provided, the consumer can apply for a reduction of the price by filing a written complaint. The complaint can be sent via mail to Sup Slovenia Association, located at Vogelna Ulica 10, SI-1000 Ljubljana, or via email to discovery@sup-slovenia-discovery.com. The response of the travel organizer will be given in eight days after receiving the complaint.
PROCEDURE REGARDING A COMPLAINT
The consumer must issue a complaint to the representative of the organizer or a service provider right-on-the spot when detecting a non-conformity. If the consumer does not issue a complaint in the above-mentioned manner and still uses the service, he gives up his right to compensation. The consumer is required to cooperate with the guide, attendant, or representative of the organizer in good faith that the cause for the complaint will be corrected. If the consumer does not accept the solution offered to correct the nonconformity, and as long as the solution is in compliance with the service paid, the organizer is not obliged to consider any subsequent claims of the traveler and will not respond to them.
In case the cause of the complaint has not been eliminated or if the consumer is not satisfied with the solution offered, together with the representative of the organizer or a service provider,r he draws up a written certificate, which must be signed by all present parties, each of them keeping their own copy. In case the representative of the organizer or a service provider refuses to draw up and sign such a certificate, the consumer can draw up one by himself and must have it signed by credible witnesses who are available to the organizer or a service provider at a later time.
After returning from the trip, the consumer must send a written complaint to the organizer’s address. The complaint must be accompanied by a written certificate from the representative of the organizer or a service provider, and any invoices for the extra costs that occurred. The consumer is obliged to list and explain the alleged non-conformities and provide the appropriate evidence. The organizer will consider only the completely documented complaints received in the stated time frame of two months from the event and will provide a written reply eight days after receiving the complaint.

Miscellaneous
If the participant does not comply with local laws, Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to revoke this contract and remove the participant’s rental stand-up paddling equipment. Participants agree not to cause any damage to natural surroundings or third parties through their actions during the tour. In the event a participant repeatedly ignores rules or causes others to feel threatened by their actions, Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to revoke this contract and remove the participant’s rental stand-up paddling equipment. If the participant repeatedly ignores the rules (not keeping up with the tour schedule, disrespecting other participants on the tour, guides, hotel and restaurant staff, etc.) Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to revoke this contract with no monetary refund. The participant is responsible for complying with passport and visa regulations and takes responsibility for consequences resulting from non-compliance.
The participant must be a good swimmer and a master of basic stand-up paddling techniques (paddling straight, turning, and stopping the board on still and moving water (sea waves up to 50 cm – approx. 2 feet)). Children must be accompanied by their parents.
Children & non-supping partners: A child who is not able to stand up paddle on his/her own board must be accompanied by a parent/an adult who will accompany him/her on land, while other tour members will be on the water. Please consider the average planned paddling time per day to be 2 to 3 hours. Adult non-supping partners are also welcome.
Participants are fully aware of the risks and dangers involved in outdoor activities like stand-up paddling, swimming, hiking, mountain bike riding, or any other activity potentially suggested as a supplemental activity to the tour and accept full liability.
The fares quoted by Sup Slovenia Discovery, its agents, or publications are those in effect at the time of printing. On rare occasions, due to situations beyond our control, Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to change tour prices at any time prior to 60 days before departure. Sup Slovenia Discovery reserves the right to correct printing errors or calculation mistakes at any time.
Sup Slovenia Discovery recommends that guests take out adequate travel, health, and accident insurance.
Sup Slovenia Discovery attempts to schedule its tours at a time when the weather is pleasant for stand-up paddling. As weather conditions can change, Sup Slovenia Discovery is not liable for unpleasant weather conditions, and no refunds will be made for such conditions.
Photos and videos produced by Sup Slovenia Discovery are the property of Sup Slovenia Discovery. The copyrights rest with Sup Slovenia Discovery. Sup Slovenia Discovery can use all such material for advertising and marketing purposes, including images in which participants can be recognized, without any charge from the participant. Participants who submit photos to Sup Slovenia Discovery agree to allow the use of such photos by Sup Slovenia Discovery for advertising and marketing purposes.
Sup Slovenia Discovery assumes no responsibility for the loss, damage, or delay in delivering baggage to tour participants. Baggage turned over to Sup Slovenia Discovery for transport each day is done so at the participant’s own risk. Baggage insurance is recommended.
